users/lookup
Return up to 100 users worth of extended information, specified by either ID, screen name, or combination of the two. The author's most recent status (if the authenticating user has permission) will be returned inline.

Parameters:
A comma separated list of user IDs and screen names -- these user_id and screen_name lists can both be specified in the same call as well.
- user_id. Specfies the ID of the user to return.
- Example: http://api.twitter.com/1/users/lookup.xml?user_id=1401881,1401882
- screen_name. Specfies the screen name of the user to return.
- Example: http://api.twitter.com/1/users/lookup.xml?screen_name=dougw,raffi
Usage Notes:

Requests for protected users requires for the calling user be following the protected user, otherwise the protected user's inline status will be removed

The array of users returned is in no particular order with respect to the parameters passed in

If a requested user is unknown, suspended, or deleted, then that user will not be returned in the results list
